Brief History
The City View Baptist Church was formed in 1983 by a missionary Pastor from a prominent bible college in the south. In the fall of 1996 after a series of leadership struggles the church identified and called one of its own men to eldership, Pastor Bryan Taitt. City View begun and continue to hold a reform distinctive in doctrine and worship. We exists in the heart of Flatbush and is accessible by New York City subway and bus services. We welcome all men from all walks of life.Doctrinal Beliefs
Our Purpose
To preach Christ crucified, buried and raised to return a second time for his people. 2nd Timothy 4:1-2
To worship God who is manifested in three persons - The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. John 4:24; Acts 17:23-24
To promote holy living in the lives of those who are called from darkness to light. 1st Peter 1:14-15
To separate from errors and expose the gospel of grace to a fallen world. Ephesians 2:1-9
Our Vision
To be distinct among mainstream evangelicals of the day.
To proclaim Jesus to whomsoever God directs us through missionary efforts at home and abroad.
We believe
The scriptures, Old and New Testament are the inspired word of God.
The triune God alone is to be worshiped.
Man is a sinner; Christ died for those whom the father would give to him, they are drawn through the preaching of the gospel.
Salvation is of the Lord, by his grace.
Missions is the responsibility of the church.
